My passion & work with Startups and Women Founders!
Startups, Women & Under Estimated Founders
Women are twice as likely to cite absence of a strong support system as an obstacle to owning a business, and the lack of access to assets affects women entrepreneurs’ abilities to obtain loans and raise capital.
On the other hand, African women have been termed as the future of the African continent. It is the only region globally, with the highest number of female entrepreneurs. Even though they boast a huge potential, they remain one of the least untapped resources in the continent.
This is where Dali Spaces & InvestFem come in.
I was born and raised in a small communal village in Taita, Kenya. At the very core of everyday life, the community was built on shared experiences—their wins, losses, and challenges, supporting each other holistically so each individual could grow.
Wanting to share these values with women globally, I reached out to my friends, leaders, and fellow founders, Andrea Dunlop and Nadja Van der Veer as they shared a strong connection, mutual respect and deep commitment to creating opportunities for women.
‘A single bracelet does not jingle.’’
African proverb, meaning: It takes more than one person or it takes many to affect change.
Together, our first-hand experience of overcoming challenges in business allowed us to create Dali Spaces, a community that enables women business owners to succeed. Named after my mother, Dali Spaces was christened in honour of the powerful, influential, and resilient women who inspired me, and will reflect and stand for those who come after.
